Ludovic Gérard‘ career summary:
Executive manager in shipping, Ludovic spent most of his career in CMA CGM which he joined in 1997 as new building manager. While the company grew very quickly, Ludovic developed his skills till his last position reached in 2013 as Vice President, Owned Fleet and Executive VP CMA Ships, the inhouse shipmanager of CMA CGM. During his time in CMA CGM, Ludovic has delivered 140 new vessels for the group, was involved in abt 3 B$ financing with Chinese leasing companies (new vessels and sale & Leaseback). During summer 2018, CMA Ships headed by Ludovic was managing 187 vessels, with a pool of abt 8,000 seafarers and 450 shore staff.
He decided to set sail by Summer 2018 to take up new challenges and he created Alwena Shipping to offer his experience to the industry.

François-Xavier Louis‘ career summary:
Gr. engineer and naval architect, François-Xavier started his career at Dragage-Ports, the French company that operates dredgers for the French ports. During his time at Dragage-Ports, he took delivery of two new dredgers built in Spain and managed fully the retrofit of one dredger to LNG as fuel: engine exchange, type C tank, commissionning in June 2019. He was also involved in the technical maintenance of the dredgers fleets and was as well the DPA (Designated Person Ashore).
After 8 years, he decided to join Alwena Shipping to deliver his experience to the industry and support Alwena’ projects.
